Let us play a probability game with this amazing penny. The rule is very simple, you flip a penny and guess it is toss or head. If you get it right, the value of the penny will be double. For example, if I guess it right in 3 consecutive attempts, this 1 penny will become 8 penny (1 to 2, 2 to 4 then 4 to 8). Got it! After 30 consecutive attempts, the value of this 1 penny will become 800K SGD if I guess it right each time. If you don't believe me, try to take out your calculator to check it out. What if I guess it right in 55 consecutive attempts? Woo, that 1 penny will become a very very huge amount, how BIG? Introduction I wish to give some tips for a consumer who is interested to trade forex or futures contracts. You do not have to spend a few thousand dollars to attend a forex training course. These tips are given free. 2. Speculation Trading is speculation. It is similar to betting and gambling. It is NOT investing. If you wish to trade or speculate, be clear about what you are doing. Do not delude yourself that you are trying to earn money. You can also lose money. It is more likely that you will lose money, as someone has to pay for the expenses of the brokers or financial institutions that provide you the facility to trade. You are allowed to trade on a leverage basis. If you put in $5,000, you are allowed to trade between 10 times (or more) of the amount that you have put in, say $50,000. If the contract loses 10%, you will lose all of your money. On the other hand, if the price moves up 10% in your favour, you can double your money. 3. Sure win formulas There are NO sure-win formulas, no PROVEN successful trading techniques. If there is a fool proof technique, " the trainer will be a billionaire by now . He does not need to give training courses to earn your fees ". Some techniques work some of the time and will not work other times. Some techniques work in some environment, e.g. a bull or bear market, but will lose money when the environment changes. If you choose any technique, for example, by at 11 am in the morning and sell at 4 pm in the afternoon, it must produce good results in some days and bad results in other days. There is no point in paying high fees to learn the techniques that will behave completely in a random fashion. Some sophisticated techniques may appear to have a better chance to work over a longer period, but this technique will behave in an unexpected manner when the environment changes. This has caught even the most sophisticated traders. 4. Practice with a Demo Account There are many online brokers that give you a trading account to practice. I have tried a few of these platforms and found the following platform to be the easiest to use. This is also backed up by the feedback given by other people. They also offer a demo account that does not expire, so you can use it for your practice for a long time. (Caution: do not put money into this platform - as there are several negative feedbacks. You should read them in the link. Just use their demo account). http://www.dailyforex.com/Plus-500/Plus-500-review/246 Here are some useful features of this platform: •It has a good choice of forex, indices, commodities and popular stocks •You can place your favourite contracts in the Favourites tab. •It shows you the live prices and a chart of your selected contract •You can create price alerts on your selected contracts. I find the price charges (1 minute, 5 minute, 1 hour, 1 day) to be useful to give an indication of the price trends. You can practice with these charts to see if you can spot the right time to buy or sell any contract. 5. Trading Techniques There are many trading techniques taught in books and online courses. You can read about these techniques and apply time with the Plus 500 demo account. Practice often, until you get the skill of trading. You will find that trading is not easy, and it is easier to make a loss than to make a profit. It is better to gain this knowledge with a demo account, rather than with real money. If you have practiced and developed your skill, and want to trade with real money, be ready to make a loss – as you hope to make a profit. It is like visiting a casino. But you may find forex trading to be more fun – as it involves the application of some economic knowledge. 6. Summary •Trading is like gambling. It is not investing. •You can lose money. Quite likely, you will lose money in the long run. It is like visiting a casino. •You can practice the skill of trading with a demo account. Try the Demo Account offered by Plus 500. (But, do not convert into a real account with money – unless you are sure about the company. Read the negative feedbacks. Remember, the positive feedback could be from their people. Review:	I had attended the stock and forex lesson. The trainer did not promise huge profit. He did tell us to exercise risk management in our trades. I have a full time job, I am only looking for a 2nd stream of income. For the stock lesson, the strategy is similar to Warren Buffet style of investment. That means looking for great company with solid business model yet trading at undervalued prices. For the forex lesson, the trainer taught us to identify which currencies are strong and weak. So we will buy the strong and sell the weak currencies to form one FX trade. Most importantly I had profited from stock and forex for my personal trades. The price is affordable as well. USD300 for forex course and USD450 for stock course. This is much much cheaper than those cut tough courses out there.

His method is simple to follow and not confusing and he never fail to respond to my Email Questions. The course is only USD300, where else can you find a course that is such value for money!

Review:	initially, i was skeptical about Brenden's program as i have associated it with those "get-rich-quick" seminars which eventually does not produce results. after learning from Brenden, I have made profits from the trades and this is not possible without Brenden's guidance and tips. his method is simple and easy for a person who has totally no financial background to understand.

Review:	Brendan lays out the approaches to investing in a very simple and easy to follow fashion. In some ways there's nothing new about what he's teaching, but it's the fact it's so concise, borne out by a long period of very successful investing of his own, that makes it so compelling. I guess if you read enough books, you might find that the same information yourself. But it's the same old situation all investors face, of seeing the wood for the trees. Brendan doesn't complicate things, which again most investors tend to want to do. Usually to our detriment. Keep it simple, keep it Brendan!

Review:	I have just finished my 1-on-1 session with Brendon via Skype for stock investing. I must say that i have learnt some very useful strategy for value investing. Review:	I don't usually praise a guy unless he is really good. I think this program deserves a praise. I had followed their signals to sell EURNZD, EURGBP and USDJPY, 300+ pips profits were made. Well done! The best thing about this forex program is they provide "fishes" for me and they also teach me how to "fish". Their course fee is only USD300. This is just a small fraction compared to other forex education that costs more than USD3000.

Review:	Absolutely apalling trader I have been trading for the past 10 years and never have i come across a trader that has such BAD calls and timing in the market. He just sent out signals and the minute he sent them out and i was filled the market turned and ran over 160 pips across 2 trades against me. This has happened several times before. Not only have i lost my USD 200 i have also lost and additional USD1600 on the trades he gave. STAY AWAY!!! One trade has now been stopped out for a loss of 200 pips (the he had the nerve to ask us to move the stop anopther 200 pips!!!!) and the other trade is down 130 pips. and has already asked to move that stop. This guy is ridiculous and is a joke and he does not respond to emails you write to him asking if he is still ok with the trades - but i guess the joke was on me ...... STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY and this program - he has absolutely idea what he is doing. YOU WILL LOSE MONEY WITH HIM!!!!

Review:	I learnt forex from Brendan last year and the BL TS System is profitable for me hence its a no brainer to jump on the opportunity when Brendan decides to teach his strategy on investing in the stock market too. Brendan's one-on-one coaching is very useful as he starts from the basics and tests you to make sure you understand before letting you in on the system of how to calculate the intrinsic(fair) value of the stock to find undervalued stocks and when to buy it. Brendan's strategy goes well with buy and hold investors. There's even homework from him but instead of those from school where you're just given a grade for your effort, you can find undervalued stocks for your efforts from putting what you have learned into practice. $300 is certainly a reasonable amount for this course.

Review:	I have just completed my one-on-one training with Brendan. He was most patient and approachable. His method is easy to apply. This is key. I have attended a few courses, and the methods taught are either too complicated to apply or quite subjective. He provides you with some MT4 scripts to test which indicators are best suited for which currency pair. This alone will save you many hours of laborious back testing. I have experimented with them and I am convinced that i would make back my course fee soon. The course fee is a fraction of what is charged by other course providers. If you are getting started in FX trading, or if you are getting mediocre returns from your FX trading, you owe it to yourself to try out Brendan's course.

Trading foreign exchange carries a high level of risk, and may not be suitable for all investors. It is a challenging and potentially profitable opportunity for educated and experienced investors. However, before deciding to participate in the Forex market, you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience and risk appetite. Most importantly, do not invest money you cannot afford to lose.
